A message from your 2012 Mens Captain, Rick Wiles
"I am very proud to be asked to take on the responsibility of the Captains role for 2012. My year as Vice Captain has given me a good insight and experience to help with the Captain's year.
It's a very exciting time for the club with the new nine holes a great possibility. In view of that I have chosen Rushden Golf Club as my charity. Monies can be put to use within the club meaning all members can benefit from what we raise.
I look forward to playing golf and sharing some quality time with you all over the coming year and hope you can support some of the social events I have planned for the year."

21st April 2012: Scratch Team v Staverton Park
The second match of our Scratch league 2012 campaign saw us take on Staverton Park GC at home. We got off to a bad start with Nick Statham leading us off and falling victim to a 2&1 loss. Points were gained in the next 4 matches as Chris Adams (6&5), Chris Ward (3&2), Jeremy Smith (5&3) and Steve Alexander (3&2) all took valuable wins.
With Lewis Miller having an off day against a strong Miles Mudge we needed at least a half from the last couple of games left out on the course. This was first achieved by Duncan Bush with a fighting half against county player Joshua Morris, then it was left to the very focussed Simon Cox to finish it off in style by beating Michael Franklin (off +1!) 1 up leaving us with a 5 1/2 - 2 1/2 victory.
We now have a couple of weeks off before we travel to local rivals Wellingborough. Once again thank you for the courtesy shown on the course and the great support. Rob Price

14th April 2012: Scratch Team v Peterborough Milton
Unfortunately the Scratch team lost against Peterbrough Milton 7 - 1. Milton had a very good team as expected in the premier league, handicaps went from 3 to +2, Simon Cox being the only winner taking the scalp of Neil Presto. Lewis Miller could count himself very unlucky losing one down with the hole seemingly covered in cellophane on every putt.
Three other games went to the seventeenth which in other years have swung our way. Once again good amount of supporters which is greatly appreciated. Rob Price
Daily Mail Foursomes - 2nd round
Well done to Brian Chadbon and Nick Statham who beat Peterborough Milton in the 2nd round of the Daily Mail Foursomes at home on 17th April. It was a closely fought game with Brian and Nick winning on the 19th.
